Arrival & Orientation
Your journey begins the moment you arrive in Pokhara. If you fly into Kathmandu first, you can travel down to Pokhara at your own pace; your local team pickup in Pokhara is fully included in your program fee.

Airport Welcome: A member of our local NSP team will greet you at Pokhara Airport or the bus station and transfer you directly to our comfortable volunteer accommodation.

Comprehensive Orientation: On your first morning, our local coordinators host an immersive 1-day orientation session.

What a Typical Week Looks Like
First Day
Your NSP coordinator personally escorts you to your placement site, introduces you to the project supervisors, and helps you settle comfortably into your role.
Weekday Schedule (Monday – Friday)
While daily tasks depend on your specific project, a typical volunteer day follows this structure -

8-9 AM - Travel to your placement site.

9 AM - 3 PM - Engage in project work alongside local teams

3 PM - Wrap up your work day. Get picked up and dropped off to your accommodation. Spend afternoons exploring Pokhara or doing things you love..

Volunteer Requirements
There area a few requirements before you can start thinking more on the volunteer placement -

Under 16 Years: Must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and submit formal parental consent.

Ages 16–17: Required to provide parental consent along with two professional character references or a valid background check.

Ages 18+: Required to submit a clean background check prior to departure.

All Volunteers: Must speak conversational English, possess valid travel insurance, and bring an open mind!
